| XJ13 Background: During the twin-test of XJ13 and XJ220 at Gaydon (see the January 2007 issue), I attempted to record a commentary while driving XJ13 on a run up the 'brake straight' – I hasten to add that a JDHT volunteer was holding the dictaphone in the passenger seat!
So, the voice you can hear at the start of this recording is mine, but I soon gave up talking as the engine sounded much better, and unless I'd been armed with a megaphone I couldn't have made myself heard in any case. Anyway, the resulting and slightly crackly recording will at least give you a fair idea of just how good this car sounds.
